Camping Trip Site Details

Here are some pictures Isabel took when she scouted out Lake Louisa for the camping trip!

So, Loop C where most of us are camping, each site has space for up to two tents and 8 people sleeping at each site. They also have a picnic table, a fire pit, an electrical outlet, and a hose faucet. Restrooms and showers are close by or inside of each loop. Pop ups and RVs are also welcome to camp there.

The Camper Canteen is just outside of the loops and you can get snacks, ice creams, bait, etc there.

Picture from a loop campsite. Water & electrical to the right. Picnic table and fire pit to the left. You park in the gravel that leads up to where the yellow pole is and they’ll allow up to two cars to park at each site.

Now for the Glamping Sites! These are super nice tents complete with A/C that make sleeping much more comfortable and lower the temp from outside by around 10-15 degrees! These sites are on the other side of the Camper Canteen, so it’s easy to walk there from the loops.

What you see when you first walk in.

The left side.

The right side. We couldn’t take a picture from inside because they had it ready for a couple that was coming that night, but it was super nice of them to allow us to open the tent and take a few quick pictures.

There are some fire pits, a grill, and a shaded area to eat in at the glamping spots, too! (If Florida Freedom Family has completely taken over the glamping sites…then maybe we’ll eat dinner here Friday & Saturday nights!)

Lake Louisa also has a playground, encourages bike riding around the park, AND they have bike, canoe, fishing pole, paddleboard, and kayak rentals available out of the Camper Canteen! So we’ll have plenty to do! https://www.floridastateparks.org/parks-and-trails/lake-louisa-state-park and https://lakelouisastatepark.com/ are great websites to check out before we go!

We can’t wait to camp with you!

xoxo,

The Florida Freedom Family

P.S. There are Eco Tents available at this park. They are about a half mile from where we’re staying and don’t have air conditioning. They also have port-a-potties next to them for their bathrooms.

The cabins tend to be booked 11 months in advance so as of right now, none are available. However, some people cancel just days before…so if you really want a cabin instead (cabins are basically tiny houses with a complete kitchen) be watching the state park website the week before the camping trip and see if you can snag a cabin!
